There are many types of travelers and an infinite variety of trips, from weekday work-warriors to multi-month country hoppers to multi-year continent jumpers. Each type of traveler has different needs and expectations, from what they'll be wearing to how they'll be working to what they'll be doing.
At a high level, travelers often fall into one of these categories:
Weekday Warriors - People looking to optimize their pack for frequent, weekly, or bi-weekly work trips to variable locations.
Destination Specific - People looking to optimize their pack for a specific destination (two weeks in X city, one month in X country, hiking X trail, etc.).
Regional Travel - People looking to do a long stint that may take them through multiple regions or climates, often for multiple weeks or months.
Long-term Travel - People looking to travel for 3+ months through variable locations and climates, often with open-ended travel plans.
Nomad Travel - People traveling "indefinitely" looking to live and work out of a backpack.
